View Full Version : ANY! folder?

I just did my first full disc rip and compress using ANYDVDHD and BD-Rebuilder. I compressed it to BD-25.
(I did the full disc because it's a disc with several episodes of a tv series on it and I wanted to keep the menus.)
I am now ready to burn using Imgburn. However, I have 3 folders in the directory that BD-RB created:
ANY!
BDMV
CERTIFICATE
I have only ever seen BDMV and CERTIFICATE before. What is in the ANY! folder (there are files there, yes)? Do I need to place the ANY! folder in the list of folders to be burned with Imgburn or just the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders as usual?
My apologies for asking if this has been asked before, but I checked the FAQ and did keyword searches and didn't find an answer. Thank you for humoring a noob.

Actually jdobbs your wrong on that part, its not "while it's decrypting". The Any! folder is the former protection AACS folder. The AnyVM! folder is the the former BD+ protection folder. If those folders are then then the disc is decrypted, not "being" decrypted.
@Darth: Jdobss was correct however that you do not need the ANY! folder on your backup.

Well, the disc plays just fine with just the BDMV and CERTIFICATE folders. Thanks!

Does anyone know what the original name is of the folder on a Blu-ray disc that Anydvd HD changes to ANYVM? I know ANY! is AACS, but curious about ANYVM, its original named folder. :)

ANY! = AACS
ANYVM = BD+ folder

Yes, I realize that. I was looking for the actual folder name before Anydvd renames it. :cool:

Thanks. I have now found that if Anydvd is running, the original name is renamed to ANYVM, as is AACS to ANY!. ;)
