Andrew Well, if you could post enough information to repeat the problem, it's likely I could fix it. Right now I don't even know what disc you're talking about. The more information you provide -- the more likely you'll see a solution.

Logs, INF, INI?

You might want to look at this post (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1470656#post1470656).

I've changed my settings to match yours and am running it now. I'll let you know how it comes out. In the meantime, can you please run INSPECT.EXE (found in the BD Rebuilder folder) and post the output?

Thanks.

Understood. It should be fine for the test run because your source is AVC, but if you don't fix the VC-1 setting, you're going to see failure in the future on VC-1 sources.

andrew I recommend you uninstall and reinstall all the support apps. I cut-and-pasted the settings from your post into my INI and ran "Dinner for Schmucks" last night (with output it to DVD-5). Everything is in perfect sync.

did twice  . maybe one of the other programs i installed is causing the problem? the only other video programs i have installed are everio mediabrowser HD edition and player, for my camcorder and dvd shrink 3.2.

maybe i'll give my older xp comp a try at this to see if that works. could tversity media server cause a problem?

Any other video related software could be the problem. If you do the uninstall/reinstall as I suggested, you might be ok. Sometimes other package "intercept" actions and a reinstall of the proper one will redirect to the proper codecs etc.

i ran dinner for schmucks on my xp machine and it turned out fine, so it must be my win7 machine. not sure what i'm going to do about it, but its my problem.

thanks for the help

Something has to be interfering with the codec playback (for frame serving)... uninstall the other programs ands see which one is the culprit.

i got it to work. turns out that everio mediabrowser HD edition and player was the problem.

thanks again for the help, and Patients.

Thanks for keeping me updated.

I too have this problem on a fairly virginal Windows 7 system. (Aldi E6214 aka MD98330)
I have no other multimedia software to remove other than perhaps the Power DVD suite which came pre-installed.
Same software configuration on an old Win XP system and Rebuilder works fine, but with Win 7 the sound sync error increases with time. In main movie mode (not tried full disc) the error is small at the start but observable, but grows to about 8 seconds after 1 hour 45 minutes or 10 seconds at the end. It's 2 hr 6 mins total duration. Converting the same BD to a BD 5 was perfect (surprising quality) but converting either the BD 25 or the BD 5 to DVD exhibits the problem. Included are the outputs from Inspect. The XP system is the latest available version of Windows Media Player. I expect the Win 7 to be newer.

Can you post your LOG (and INI) from the job that isn't working properly?

I don't think it is WMV9 -- as that's what everyone uses with Win 7. Without the LOG I can't tell if it is even being used.

I hope these are the correct files. I have only attempted to do this one disc.
I initially made a BD5 by mistake, thinking I was making a DVD5, the quality was very good, the original isn't really great anyway.

I actually cut that last log segment off the whole file as there were some prior abandoned conversions. What I just noticed was the frame rate of 24.976 fps, might be just sufficiently different to 25.000 to give the error. The sound was about 9 seconds later than the picture after 2 hours.
