I have DVD-RB 1.28.1 Pro (via donation) and am curious to know if there is support for CCE SP3 or ProCoder 3? I have read a few forum's that tell me I need EclPro v1.11 however I can't seem to download it or Google it anywhere.

With that being said, I am running Win7 Ultimate 64-Bit i7 processor. What should I set my CCE SP3 at? I have tried to use CCE SP and SP2 however, the "cctsp.exe" and "ccew" as well as "cce3" all open and there is no activity from them. They sit there..locked.

Help / Links / suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Haven't used DVD-RB in a long time and would like to get back into using it however, now that my hardware has changed, don't find that the "old" settings I used to use...are working.

Thank You

There seems to be some confusion about which encoders are supported by DVD-RB. Since I did have some extra time on my hand recently, I decided to do a few tests:

CCE SP3 is NOT supported by DVD-RB so far. In a previous post jdobbs indicated that he might release a new version of DVD-RB Pro with support for CCE SP3, but right now the latest version 1.28.2 Pro only supports CCE up to SP2.

The free version of DVD-RB only supports CCE up to SP1 2.70

Procoder and Carbon Coder is a different story. DVD-RB never supported these encoders natively, it always used ECLPro (by Robot1) to make use of these encoders. The latest version 3.11 of ECLPro is included in the DVD-RB 1.28.2 Pro installation. It seems that Robot1 is not supporting this app any more, the readme says that it is compatible with legacy versions of Procoder and also with versions 2 and 3 plus Carbon Coder 2.5.

I just tested ECLPro 3.11 with different versions of Procoder and also with Carbon Coder 3.14. There were no problems whatsoever. I did these tests using DVD-RB Pro 1.28.2 and also with the latest free version 0.98.2.

So if someone has problems making DVD-RB working with Carbon Coder, here are some suggestions:

When setting up ECLPro for DVD-RB, there is one catch: When you are asked if you want to use field encoding for interlaced sources, answer NO by all means. DVD-RB simply does not support field based encoding.

Otherwise I did all my tests under Win XP SP3. If you are using Vista or Win 7 you might have to turn off UAC. And I have no idea which additional problems you might face under Win 7 64-Bit.

Hope this helps
Cheers
