i really cant see any improvement in h.264 tab (ubuntu), maybe i have the wrong version?

Really, i don't think any end user (the kind that uses something like handbrake) cares about what 'hadamard' is, just make it compatible with x264 built in presets and tune command, like:

preset: dropdown, tune: dropdown, filter dropdown

and thats it, pretty please.

Well, I wrote the gui for me, and not for "end users". I share it because it doesn't take too much extra effort to do so (and I'm generally a generous guy).

But x264 style presets (ultrafast thru placebo) are on the drawing board.

nice news :) how about the tune options? like "--tune film" and "--tune animation" ?

as far as i know ffmpeg cannot because it uses libx264 which doesnt have the preset and tune options although you can simulate the presets and tunes settings by customizing it on a .ffpreset text file then feeding it on --vpre option of ffmpeg

if there are better work around then i like to know it too :)
