I'd like to find a program that uses a system codec to display live video. I'd like to use ffdshow processing on a live feed.
It seems many capture programs use internal decoders for raw formats. My only hope would be using a hardware mpeg2 card when a system decoder is used to display it realtime.

I found one solution, iuVCS has the optoin to use ffdshow video decoder. Then in ffdshow configuration, click avisynth, and start writing your script.
let me tell you it's a blast to code script and watch the changes realtime.
This is an awesome setup to adjust procamp settings in realtime on colorbars.

There should be an avisynth editor that plays video continuously in a loop and you type script.

I'm still looking for a free solution.
