Wasn't sure whether to put this under audio or capturing (it relates to both), please move this post if considered necessary.

I'm trying to capture some gameplay into a stream, using VirtualDub. Capturing the video is no problem, works fine, but I can't seem to grab the game's audio.

In VirtualDub's Audio menu, 'Audio input' only has 'No Input' or 'Master Volume' (the latter is selected), 'Audio source' has only one grayed-out option 'No sources available', and at the bottom it says '0 C-Media USB Audio' (my headset) which is checked.

Ideally I would like to grab ALL my PC's audio output together, so I could even play custom background music with WinAmp, or add microphone commentary (in addition to the in-game sound), et cetera.

What should I do?

*gentle bump*
Any ideas anybody? I notice many people are casting live gameplay (including voice overs) so it should be definitely possible somehow??

Get an audio card as onboard audio is very limited
