Greetings! I just imported the tv series "Being Human" from Amazon UK (I'm in the USA) and see that its 1080/50i. From what I'm reading, this most likely won't play in any of my US players. I use AnyDVD and BD-RB a lot and have always successfully ripped blu's and converted to BD-25's or BD-9's without any issues.
My question is.. if I rip these blu's in its entirety and choose to convert them to BD-25's with BD-RB, will they be able to be played in my standalone US players? Does it do any kind of conversion for 50hz to 60hz? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

--Rick Currently the only time BD-RB does conversion is when you are using the ALTERNATE DVD output. In that instance it only converts from NTSC to PAL -- and that's because it has to, as PAL DVD standards require it.

There are no other frame rate conversions. Maybe some day.

that could be useful for me, too, tho probably a bit lower on the list of priorities, i would guess.

Thanks for the reply JDOBBS. Your products are the best! I purchased DVD-RB a long time ago (great program) and have been enjoying the use of BD-RB as well. Look forward to purchasing a 'pro' copy of that once its complete! I've been using BD-RB since its first release and have yet to experience any issues with it. Great job!!
