Hey, I got really confused recently here's why:
I loaded a DVD into my computer, I loaded it into MPC-HC and got bad results in PQ (was all grayish) So I tried different outputs, each output gave me different results
So then I remembered reading
"all DVD players have the same quality"
Now I'm wondering how TV's make the image always look great off the bat from DVD players, do the TVs have things like MPC-HC inside them that take the feed from the DVD?
I'm getting a HDTV soon and plan to hook up my computer to it to play MKVs and such, and now I'm thinking maybe I won't get the good results I'm expecting and it'll look the same as MPC-HC instead of looking like the DVD player to TV
ugh I'm confused myself
If I connect my computer to my HDTV and play a video in MPC-HC on the HDTV will the video look as good as if I were to play the video on a DVD/Bluray player connected straight into my HDTV? <--- summed up question
