The home of mplayer for windows, http://mulder.dummwiedeutsch.de/, appears to have been down for over a week, and another site of his I found is gone.
No-one seems to have noticed or mentioned this on the forum.
His mplayer built can't check for a new version either, or course.

I'm helping him with a mirror for the updates to mplayer/lamexp/etc and I'd have no problem hosting the website for him also - the traffic from a website is nothing compared to about 400GB a month for the rest - but he didn't ask me so I guess it's something temporary.
Last I heard the hosting company blocked it for using about 15 GB of bandwidth a month, which is a lot in terms of shared hosting but less than what that company was advertising.
ps. yes, looking at the logs it seems only LameXP is currently updating, probably mplayer's system still relies on that site that's down now.

Hello.
Yes, the main web-site is currently down :o
The web-hoster claimed it put too much load on their server. The bandwidth usage is okay (much below the monthly limit), but they claim it put too much load on the "database server".
The funny thing is, that I don't even use any database (like MySQL or whatever) on my web-site! Just very simply HTML/JavaScript enhanced by a bit PHP to avoid Copy&Paste
I'm currently looking for a solution. LameXP should still update, because I feared such a situation could happen one day. Therefore it will try to fetch the update info from several mirrors.
The update info, which is still available from at least two other mirrors, currently points to Mariush's download sever. And that server is up and running :)

:thanks:
Still I would prefer to get the old server (domain) back running, if possible. Unfortunately everybody seems to be on Christmas holidays now.
If it turns out that I need a new server, I'll let you know :)

Which server including morrors host all the files that are at http://mulder.dummwiedeutsch.de/ which isn't coded or needs javascript. Links to those would help to visit them :)

M' LoRd MuldeR,
Just joined this forum after I found you were still around to say 'thank goodness'.
I know you must be very busy ATM trying to get things organised, but I wonder if you could put updating you Chrome updater on your 'to do' list. It no longer works due to a change at 'their' end. I tried three others and they were rubbish compared to yours. I'd rather give up my Chrome nightly updates than use an inferior updater.
Happy New Year.

I don't know what has happened yet, but I made http://mulder.at.gg/ point to another mirror for now...
