Hello. I have a problem with maultiavchd, that I cannot resolve. please help me, tanks a lot in advance. Sorry I’m newbie and sorry my bad English.
source file *.TS* > avchd > dvdr dl > oppo83.
in the multiavchd panel i press "avchd". oppo dont recognized it.
when I select "avchd strict" (restricted, i.e. without menu). the oppo
can playback this folder!
but the sound is NOT syncronized. my file TS is mpeg2, and the audio mp2.
on my PC mediainfo tell me "audio mpeg2" (not ac3).
from the log file of maultiavchd:
"Encoding [MPEG] audio to AC3...
Adding AC3 encoded audio track (ita)...
Total of 2 tracks found in this file.
Creating clip and playlist info (tsMuxeR)...
Media split set at 4000MiB point...

i think the problem is the audio encoding made by multiavchd.
now i tried on my pc (nothing burned, "oppo powered off"
multiavchd seems to "require absolutely" the eac3to encoding (it says "is required for most audio conversions")
I forced "not convert to ac3":
Encoding [MPEG] audio to AC3...
eac3to refused to convert audio!
[Trying to demux audio...
Parsing to NicAudio/aften (avisynth)...
DELETE EXCEPTION: Should not touch file! (c:\multiavchd\_temp\multitemp20101209
\data0001.joined.tssplit.12.
joined.tssplit.18.
ts.t2.ac3.mpa)
Encoding to AC3 (second try)...
All tries to demux/encode audio failed!
Total of 2 tracks found in this file.
Creating clip and playlist info (tsMuxeR).

so i can see the video, without sounds!
then i allowed the ac3 encoding and i get immediately asyncronization. this time on my pc. vlc player, ....: all sw with asyncronization!

i tried output for PS3, then for bluray, panasonic, mmc...all
settings!!...always async. the async is on my pc too, not only on the oppo.

that is what i need:
dbv-t decoder > file TS (mpeg2 or mpeg4avc
4.0, splitted to 2GB, 2GB, ...) >usb pen drive
> my pc > join with Tssplitter and joiner > I get a big TS file
> ...some processing?.> burn on a dvd+r dl > playback on oppo83.
it seems to be very very hard for me...

the output of multiAVCHD:
I clicked on the botton "avcHD (Strict)".
if I click on "avcHD" => the oppo83 dont recognize the content of the folder avchd, I get black screen (time counter
fixed to 00:00:00).
if I click "avcHD Strict" (i.e., "without menù" I think) => the oppo can playback the content very good!! (but with
asyncronization: audio and video out of sync at the same rate, not gradually).
Also i think the "avchd strict" output for multiavchd is better because I wont burn the *content* of avchd folder to
dvd+r dl for playback on the oppo83.
(but i get the problem "out of sync" already on my desktop with vlc player!).

I tried using tsMuxeR (tsMuxerGUI) to demux the mp2.
Used multiAVCHD as usually with the .ts but on the "Audio" tab of the Title properties page I have selected the audio and clicked the "Remove" button.
So I have a "silent" movie. Go to AVCHD_\BDMV\STREAM. The silent movie is 00000.m2ts. I loaded this into tsMuxerGUI. Also loaded
.track_4352.mp2 into tsMuxerGUI.
In the output section of tsMuxer, I selected m2ts muxing, set the output to a different folder but I used the name 00000.m2ts.
Replace the 00000.m2ts file in AVCHD_\BDMV\STREAM with the new 00000.m2ts

but the oppo cannot playback the audio now.
i have burned the avchd folder (with the "newer" 00000.m2ts) into a dvd+rw disc.
then I browsed this folder (right click on dvdrom
icon on MyPC, select "explore", I get:
F: (my dvdrom
drive)....avchd\bdmv\stream
here I open the 00000.m2ts file
1) with VLC: ok! the sync is now (fast) perfect!
2) mediainfo tell me: video...; audio: mpeg2...ok!
3) I opened this m2ts file with powerdvd8, too. ok!
i.e. when I click on the "newer" m2ts file, the playback is good (video and audio).
but... (this is my problem now):
1) If I put this dvd+rw I have burned and successfully tested (with VLC, mediainfo, powerdvd8) into my drive, and
powerdvd8 start automatic by default, I get the video only and the "on screen display info" tell me: video....., audio
none!!!
2) If I put this dvd into the oppo83 (this is for me the main thing), I get the video, but NOT the audio!

Then I become this advice:

1. Load the "new" 00000.m2ts into multAVCHD and process it.
or
2.
Attachment #2 shows an error in tsMuxeR: "data0001.ts has a M2TS format". You could try renaming data0001.ts
to data0001.m2ts and processing it directly through multiAVCHD.
or
3.
Rename data0001.ts to data0001.m2ts and do the demux, process, remux again
None of these are guaranteed to work and in both 1. and 2. multiAVCHD will probably try converting the mp2 to AC3
but
maybe it will be in sync.
Note: in attachment #5 you could have changed the language to Ita under "General track options"

I tried all these options.
option number 1: good! (mpa to ac3).
number 2: bad (the same async)
number 3: it works "not bad" (a little async permains).

But now I have to discriminate between source files ts mpeg4 and ts mpeg2!

==source file TS MPEG4 (see please above => mediainfo file number 2):
option #1: simply perfect!!!!!!
[the "first run" of multiavchd decreases the bitrate from 10,3 to 10Mbps, but this is no problem ]
my source file ts mpeg4, thanks the process number 1, can playback on the oppo and on my pc perfect!!!

[when I drag&drop the source file into tsmuxerGUI, I get automatic (by default) the ITA language in the tracking
options (when I select "demux", not when I select
"m2ts start muxing"). this is perhaps important thing ...see please bottom]

these 3 options generate very different effects. I'm very very very happy with number 1.

=source file TS MPEG2 (see please above => mediainfo file number 1, the most important
file :
these 3 options generate THE SAME effects!

[when I drag&drop the source file into tsmuxerGUI, I get automatic (by default) the *UNDEFINIED* language in the
tracking options!!! strange... (but I tried to force
the ITA language, too...with the same results].
I burned into a dvd+r dl. powedvd8 playbacks the audio only, but other sw playbacks my disc good! the
oppo, too

So I can finally playback ts mpeg4 (after demux, process, remux...) very very fine!
After the same process as with mpeg4, the ts mpeg2 playbacks on the oppo and on my pc. the audio
comes later than the video (yesterday more
than one second
under tsmuxerGUI, genaral track options, I dont know how I have to set (manually?) the "delay" option (500ms
greyed window, when I load the file ts mpeg2. But with
1059ms
of the ts mpeg4, even if I do nothig, the result is wondefull!).
except for the file mpeg2.

then I tried:
1) add the source file TS into tsMuxer.
2) demux. after the demux I get the video file mpv + file mp2 (mpa).
3) open Audacity: convert mp2 to ac3.
4) open tsmuxer again.
5) add the file ac3 and *add the file mpv* too
6) start remuxing ac3 (from Audacity) and the video file *.MPV* I have obtained after the demux at nr. 2),
the same settings:
output: select "m2ts". rename the output file into any name.
7) run "for the first time" multiavchd:
add this file "00000.m2ts", click Start, select output "AVCHD Strict".
8) burn the content of the folder AVCHD on a dvd udf.

Report:
1) If I have a file TS MPEG4-AVC
(audio mp2) no problem. demux, process, remux, process again. ok!

2) source file TS MEPG2 /audio mp2 ITA only.
after processing with Audacity I get the same effects. Audio comes after the
video. See please here an example how I get the "sync" :
file 1
http://www.mediafire.com/file/3bihvd7adaj8a3e/FILE%201_solo%20audio%20ITA%20e%20non%20ENG.m2ts

the "file 1" have
very bad sync (after the same processing and after another process with Audacity).

3) File MPEG2 /audio mp2 ITA 192KHz + ENG (128KHz)
I added this file into tsMuxerGUI and I deleted the ENG language (otherwise I should handle with 2 audio files?!),
then I follow the process, and then I try with Audacity, but I get very very bad sync.
See please my source file:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/1hke60cdcv21weh/SOURCE_sd_two%20languages.ts

and now what I get with "the old processing mode", and then with Audacity:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/075ohngkjdwkivc/WHAT%20I%20GET__sd_solo%20con%20windvd__con%20Audacity.m2ts

I think when the source file contains 2 languages, this is a big problem with async.
And i cannot understand why all MPEG4 AVC files have a good sync, but MPEG2 Video causes a bad sync.

last ideas for mpeg2 with mp2 audio.
a)demux with tsMuxeR
b)convert mp2 to ac3 with Audacity
c)load video and ac3 into tsMuxeR
d)for "Output" chose "Bluray
disc" or "AVCHD disc"
e)use this output in multiAVCHD
or e) use this output in BD Rebuilder

Report:
1)
I think there are async problems not in multiavchd nor in bdrebuilder,
but already in tsmuxerGui!
after remuxing with tsmuxer I get a m2ts (a lot of m2ts: I tried with more videos ts mpeg2 files) with bad sync. I get
the bad sync before I run multiavchd or bdrebuilder.
perhaps the problem is the "remux with tsmuxerGui" with any output format (m2ts only, or bluray, or avchd).....
I dont know if multiavchd or bd rebuilder can "repair" this bad sync generated by tsmuxer..?

mpeg4 file is processed by bd rebuilder with no error messages:

I would be very gratefull to you if you help me, how to get a fine sync with ts mpeg2 files?

a)demux with tsMuxeR
b)convert mp2 to ac3 with Audacity
c)load video and ac3 into tsMuxeR
d)for "Output" chose "Bluray

e)use this output in BD Rebuilder

and/or
please can you tell me if you get a good sync after step d)
with the following source?

http://www.mediafire.com/file/fyaa2s666ufw8wb/solo%20audio%20ITA%20e%20non%20ENG.ts

here what I get after remuxing this file with tsmuxer on a defragmented pc desktop and then on a defragmented laptop (Vista32):
(but into bd rebuilder I load everytime a file/bmv folder with async!).

effects:

=> can you watch the singer in sync?
Thanks a lot in advance.

It's not hard, it's a problem with the source and nobody can help you without a sample.

Thanks for your reply.
i can watch the source very fine on my pc only. it is in sync.
yes. i have posted a few samples. the links to my source files and the link of my results. at the end of my previous post.

the source is the file .TS
the resulting file is M2TS (i would try to playback it on a dvd+rw for the standalone player, but already on my pc I get the very bad sync after remux...

please see my sample files above (mediafire.com).
thanks a lot.

Works fine here,..
0. analysed video to get audio delay
1. extracted the video and audio stream. (using tsmuxer)
2. reencoded the audio to ac3 using ffmpeg&aften ffmpeg -threads 8 -v -10 -y -i "PATH TO AUDIO STREAM" -acodec pcm_s16le -f wav - | aften -v 2 -b 192 - "ac3 PATH TO OUTPUT"
(Audacity should be fine too, but I didn't want to install it)
3. remuxed audio&video with tsmuxer
and here you probably forgot to set the audio delay of -468ms

Okay, small correction, it's a bug in tsmuxer. :P
I used:
MUXOPT --no-pcr-on-video-pid --new-audio-pes --blu-ray --vbr --vbv-len=500
V_MPEG-2, "D:\Encoding Output\solo audio ITA e non ENG.track_538_20_01_49_931_07.mpv", fps=25
A_AC3, "D:\Encoding Output\test DELAY -468ms_Ita_aid_548__20_01_49_931_05.ac3", timeshift=-468ms
to mux the raw streams which should work fine, but the timeshift is ignored. :/
When opening the .m2ts file created by tsmuxer it shows a delay of 12ms, when I change it to -468ms audio is synch again.

As a solution you that could fix the audio delay with DelayCut (http://download.videohelp.com/jsoto/audiotools.htm) before muxing with tsMuxer.
-> no it doesn't :/
so the only way to fix the delay is to remux the .m2ts file a second time. :(

this is strange. I'm confused.

I get very discrepanties with each file.

with my file of the previous post (http://www.mediafire.com/file/1hke60cdcv21weh/SOURCE_sd_two%20languages.ts), I follow your suggestion (set the delay -295. remux. then remux the m2ts file again, resetting the delay -295 for the second time), this is super. the sync is very very good!!! wow!

but with my first file you have tried (http://www.mediafire.com/file/fyaa2s666ufw8wb/solo%20audio%20ITA%20e%20non%20ENG.ts), -468ms, if I remux the m2ts file for the second time, I get a very bad sync.
the "new" m2ts file (remuxed -468) is not in sync :-(
I think I get the best effect at the step #4 (i.e. without remuxing the m2ts file).

finally with
http://www.mediafire.com/file/32ekjans3kue301/z_BADsync_mpeg2.ts

I get a very very bad sync with step#4 AND with remuxing m2ts (-500ms) TOO.

why this difference between three TS MPEG2 files?

what to do? three files ts mpeg2 with three different effects after the same process?!

thanks.

@anuswara

Hi! why this difference between three TS MPEG2 files?

1) What was the original source material for EACH of the ts MPEG files that you created?

2) What software and procedures did you use to create EACH of the ts MPEG files?

anuswara

Hy setarip_old,

with the process suggested by selur I was very happy (demux, audacity, remux adding delay, remux m2ts file addig delay for the second time)!

but this process worked fine with one ts file only :-(

all my files TS come from a dvb-t decoder.
with TS mpeg4-AVC, audio mp2 files no problem! all are in sync.
but when I record from the decoder on a pen drive (not only for playback on pc, but on a BD standalone player) and these files are TS mpeg2 audio mp2, here I get big problem with async.

only the file http://www.mediafire.com/file/1hke60cdcv21weh/SOURCE_sd_two%20languages.ts
worked very fine.
the file http://www.mediafire.com/file/fyaa2s666ufw8wb/solo%20audio%20ITA%20e%20non%20ENG.ts
witch has been tried and processed by selur and then by myself worked fine only if I stop working at step #4 (without remux the m2ts file).

the very important file (wagner's walküre) http://www.mediafire.com/file/32ekjans3kue301/z_BADsync_mpeg2.ts has a very bad sync!!

the source file is the file TS from my decoder. also the source is the same. I learned the process suggested by selur, but I get very differencies hmmm *confused*

the software and procedures for create each ts file are the same: my dvb-t decoder.
all ts file are in sync on my pc. but I need to process these files for playback on a standalone player witch dont support playback from TS files (I need a dvd+r dl).

on my first post (sorry, very very long ;-) you can find all my attempts and the source TS file analized by mediainfo.

I was very happy with the process suggested by selur and I thought I have no problem ever with this kind of files :-)
why dont work for *any* file I get from my decoder (with the same encoding)?

thanks for helping me.
from the beginning of december i try how to get a good sync with this kind of file...unsuccessfully (when I get a very good syncronized m2ts file, then I load it into multiavchd > start> create a AVCHD [strict] folder ..., burn its content on dvd+r dl >bd player).

thank you.

a))) source file Ts mpeg4 avc:

demux with tsmuxergui
mp2 to ac3 with audacity
remux video and audio ac3 to m2ts (***dont worry about the delay, ignore it, even if it is -1076ms!!!***)
[multiavchd: m2ts to a avchd folder for burning]

OK! it will be in sync.

_____

b))) source file TS mpeg2 (audio ITA or audio ITA + ENG, ENG removed):

1.analysed audio to get video delay with mediainfo ***select the MAIN aUDIO STREAM for analizing (see bottom)****
2.extracted the video and audio stream. (using tsmuxer)
3.reencoded the audio to ac3 using audacity.
4.remuxed audio&video with tsmuxer
