Hello all. I've a lots of old computer athlon xp, celeron, pentium, motherboard and recently i made a test :
With the same motherboard and same config (xp sp3) i've tested the encoding of an mpeg2 sequence with 2 different processors : celeron 430 1.8 ghz and pentium 4 2.93 ghz. The result was that i encode at the same speed.
On another computer i've made the same test (athlon xp 2800+) and i've at 1 fps the same result
Can someone can explain me that.
Mencoder was the build of oss.netfarm.it.
