I've tried doing this about three times and and I always have audio sync issues. What do I need to post so someone can have a look and see what I might be doing wrong? Thanks for any help:confused:

If you copy and paste these text files, highlight them and select "Wrap[quote] tags around selected text", one of the options on the top tool bar, your logs will be present immediately.

I assume your audio sync issues are on the main feature, VID_00010. Does this async happen when played back on software players or a standalone Blu-ray player? If it's a software player, it is highly recommended to test on a standalone player too!
What does Inspect report for the installed codecs?

bobrap

Thanks for the reply. Everything checks ok in inspect. I only tried on software (TMT5). Thought maybe something obvious would show before burning to disc. I'll give that a go now. Thanks again for the help.

Don't have any, keep meaning to get a few. Anywho...still out of sync (main title) on both standalone and PC.

Don't give up just yet! :p

Can you determine / guess how far off and if the audio is early or late?
If you open the corresponding mpls for VID_00010 with tsMuxeR GUI, does it report an audio delay?
If you open the muxmeta for VID_00010, which is found in the Workfiles folder, does it report an audio delay correction?

bobrap
15th December 2010, 16:49
I'm not experienced with those type programs. I deleted the files on the HDD, but, have the disc. Opened pls 00010 and I don't see any error message. Where exactly should I look? Thanks for taking the time to help.:thanks:

Capsbackup

Use BDInfo to view the mpls / m2ts files on the disc.
http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/BDInfo-Download-105511.html
Once you find which playlist mpls is for the 00010.m2ts, open that playlist with tsMuxeR GUI and look at all the audio files listed. If there is a delay, it will be stated.

tsMuxeRGUI:
http://www.smlabs.net/tsmuxer_en.html

Sorry, I forgot to mention you will have to select/highlight an audio stream, the one you keep, and look in the General track options window to see if there is a delay, or it may just say "0".

Alternatively, if you put BD-RB in Movie only mode, then go to Mode, Other Movie-Only Playlist, you can see which mpls is for the main movie.

bobrap
15th December 2010, 17:25
Learn something new every day! I loaded the mpls and saw no indication of a delay. Anything I can post for you to look at?

Capsbackup
15th December 2010, 17:27
Did it appear your audio delay was short, or undeterminable?

Capsbackup

I notice you had done a start, stop and the resumed again on your above log. Perhaps this had something to do with it, though probably not.
I would suggest uninstall Avisynth, ffdshow and Haali/Matroska, delete the program folder for Haali, reboot and then install those programs again.
Then delete the BDREBUILDER.ini found in the folder where BD_Rebuilder is located.
To start fresh, right click on REG_MSCOMCTL and select run as administrator, then do the same for BD_Rebuilder.exe ( like you did the very first time ).
Perhaps try a movie only to BD5 to test for audio sync, then if successful, do the full backup again.

Again, thanks for your help. I'll try your suggestions.:)

@bobrap;
What program are you using to rip the original Blu-ray with?
Also, does the original rip play with the audio in sync?

Just finished a bd-5 movie only and the audio is still out of sync. I rip with Anydvd and the orig plays fine.

When BD-RB is in Movie-Only mode, how many .m2ts files are there being reencoded?
Can you post your 1st log as you did above.
Trying to see if there are any other m2ts files other than 00010.m2ts

What is the contents of VID_00004? Can you try to play just that m2ts?

It's only 12KB

OK thanks. Something is pretty unusual about this one.
Have you had success on any other backups, either full or movie only, and the audio is in sync?

This is the first and only one that has given me any problems. Must not be holding my mouth right!

If you are up for testing/experimenting :p
Inside the Workfiles folder there is a file named VID_00010.AVS.264 and its associated audio file AUD_00010_4352.ac3 and possibly subtitles too.
Open tsMuxeR GUI and add the video, audio and subtitles you have in that folder. Don't worry about chapters just yet.
Click on the audio file within tsMuxer and change the audio delay to 7000ms.( this is your guess!)
Create a new folder and direct tsMuxeR to that destination, select AVCHD disk and create a new backup. With any luck, you can correct your delay, but it might take a few try's.:(

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Perhaps a quicker way to determine your true audio delay, add just the video and audio files mentioned above, try a test delay number, select TS muxing as your output. Then select the Split and Cut tab at the top of tsMuxeR, and in the second box down check Enable cutting, select start 0 min, end 10 min, ( as long as there is speaking to see/check for audio sync in the first ten minutes), then start muxing. This will be much quicker than a full mux, and you will be able to test several delays to find the right one.

If you can find the delay that brings the audio in sync, save that number. Then if you want to do a full backup of that movie, there will be a way to correct it for the full backup! :)

Tried your latest suggestion and it synced by adding 18500!

Wow! Excellent. Are you wanting to complete a movie only backup, including subtitles and chapters?
Or is your ultimate goal to make a full movie backup? Or want to try both?

I always do full backups.

I always do full backups.

It is a little bit more complicated for full backups, but if you follow these steps, you can make it work.
You will have to create another full backup since you deleted your previous files. Make sure you keep the Workfiles folder after rebuild.
Read this thread, starting from post # 9. The steps are there, and let me know how it works for you. :)

I'll see if I can find a copy of "Centurion" and give it a try.

Thanks. I tried capsbackup's recommendation and remuxed that file and just copied it into the stream folder replacing the original and it plays fine.

Thanks. I tried capsbackup's recommendation and remuxed that file and just copied it into the stream folder replacing the original and it plays fine. Well, remuxing to make it match is ok... but the purpose of the beta is to find out why it was off to begin with and try to make sure it doesn't happen.

I apologize, certainly no intention interfering with development or suggesting work arounds! :o
I am all for the beta testing, doing quite a bit myself and trying to help along the way. :)

bobrap,

i actually had the same problem you did with Centurion, never was able to make a backup of it, tired 3 different copies, all OOS, DVDFab was unable to do it either. I spent days on it. I finally gave up. I ended moving down to the DVD version and then had no problems. It sucked. but at least I had a backup of it.

Same here, never have been able to get it in sync. Full BD25, Movie only BD25 and movie only BD5/9. Haven't tried alternate to DVD yet.
