Dear all,

Lately, I have been trying windows media player 12 on Win7. By using Fraps, I found the playback frame-rate is doubled (30fps content rendered at 60fps). I looked up in the internet, and didn't find a way to set it back to 30fps rendering. Do you know what caused the double frame rate and also how to change back to playback in the original frame rate setting in the video files?

Thanks!

Hi,

If the source is interlaced, perhaps your graphics card is de-interlacing to give you 60 lovely progressive frames, and producing 60fps which is expected.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the reply, but for progressive frames, it's doubling frame rate as well. For interlace content, the 60i content is being rendered at 120fps at full screen. So it's doubling whatever possible inputs.

Also I have turn off "use inverse telecine" in control panel to avoid hardware de-interlacing. But the issue remained.

Any other possibilities? Thanks!
