Hi all,

I have used FFDShow for a long time to play almost all media types on my computer. In WMP 10 & 11 (XP and Vista) whenever I installed FFDshow and set it to decode .mp4, or etc it would automatically start decoding and show the tray icon.

Ever since switching to Windows 7 which comes with Windows Media Player 12, I cannot get ffdshow to work. As a matter of fact, ffaudio won't run either. I have installed the most recent version of ffdshow from the site, even set the merit of the program all the way up with the slider and no cigar.

I use MPC-HC for most of my files, but there is one or two i would still like to place with WMP...

P.S. Google was horribly unhelpful in finding a solution to this problem

- Thanks for any help all
