DVD size question.

I'm just wondering what is the size of a DVD that one would typically buy at a store ?

I mean, 1:1 copy. If I would just copy it to a hard drive without any modifications what's so ever ?

DVD-5's hold ~4.37GB
DVD-9's hold ~7.95GB

The actual ripped DVD image though can end up being smaller.

Hi friend,
Now a days we have two DVD formats: DVD5 and DVD9.
DVD9 contain much more data than the DVD5.
