Could someone please determine what kind of Avisynth-filter (telecine) I should use for this videoclip (videoclip of the beginning of the japanese movie "Revenge 2 (1997)"):
http://www.mediafire.com/?jg9kbdyohp1azvo
Unfortunately it doesn't have repeating pattern of 3 progressive frames followed by 2 interlaced frames to use: TFM().TDecimate()
Thanks in advance

You could try QTGMC:
MPEG2Source("VTS_01_0.d2v")
Crop(12, 64, -4, -64)
AssumeTFF
QTGMC
SelectEven
Use its parameters (e.g. "Preset") to select speed/quality.

Rule of thumb: if it's an asian movie, then it's a fieldblended normconversion.
=> use Srestore.

Yep,
Yadif(Mode=1)#or the bobber of your choice
SRestore(Frate=23.976)
And that was one of the most useless samples I've seen, half text and the rest with no or distant movement. Next time give us ten well chosen seconds of steady movement.

AssumeTFF
QTGMC
SRestore(Frate=23.976)
worked good, thank you all.
@manono: Sry for including such a useless sample, but I thought it might a be problem if I included a sample that was not from the start (last time I asked advice for a different source I had to remux it because of some problem).
EDIT: @manono: Thanks, I'll redo it for better results. *I removed SelectEven here too*

Leave off the 'SelectEven' and do it again. The results will be better.
