I've tried to import avs scripts into Lightworks (http://www.lightworksbeta.com/)(you got to check this free NLE out! Register and download...) by converting the script with makeAVIS but unsuccesfully. Are there any other frameserving ways you would suggest?
Lightworks seems very picky on avi files.

If it supports FFMPEG then there is a chance at direct import as with Blender. (Windows) binaries.
vfapi might work by creating a signpost AVI file?

i'm having some difficulties with audio.
i think it thinks the WAV headers are wrong somehow.
i've tried 16 bit, 24 bit and float, all stereo.
i've only been able to get full functionality with a 2vuy mov file with stereo 16 bit audio.
would love to get this working - i'm seeing massive potential, and already musing over an EDL conform in avisynth so one can edit in low res in lightworks and reconform off whatever format in avisynth for export.
...but first i've gotta figure out how to drive this weird program.
