View Full Version : Can BD-Rebuilder get rid of the "intro" stuff on a blu-ray disc?

Stuff like "this disc is not intended for use in such a country", and so on, or "thank you for buying this blu ray disc", etc, etc.
Or do I need another tool for this?

I use bd copier in conjunction with bd rebuilder to remove all the extras and trailers so it just leaves the menu and main movie. Never had a problem with it so far, Once the movie has been ripped of all extras i run it through bd rebuilder.Because the extras have been ripped it takes next to no time running it through bd rebuider for the required size, Hope this helps.
ps: I prefer the menu and just the movie.

I was always wondering this myself, these take long enough to load and then when it does, we have to sit through all that crap to.

You can use multiAVCHD in Re-author mode to blank titles, adverts and warnings, but if you are not careful with what you blank you can create a non-working backup.
Also, if you choose to use one of these methods to blank titles, then plan on using BD-RB to convert it to BD5/9 or BD-25, do not report your outcome in the BD-RB bug reports thread. Pre-processing or post-processing is not a welcome report as to the many potential issues that could cause.

I will add the ability to blank out useless titles, I just haven't had a chance to do it yet.

Just had a quick look at my anyDVD HD settings for blu-ray and that lists a couple of settings that I assume mean it will strip 'useless' junk from blu-ray rips or at least not force you sit through 2 minutes of 'please do not condone piracy' or 'this disc is protected by' warnings
Settings are :
Remove Prohibited User Operations
Remove Annoying Adverts and Trailers

Remove Annoying Adverts and Trailers
But this did not work!
AnyDVD HD just removes the Copy Protection and copy the disc 1:1 to your HDD.

AnyDVD HD just removes the Copy Protection and copy the disc 1:1 to your HDD.The "remove" features in AnyDVD aren't meant to strip those items from the disc or feature. It only removes the locks that prohibit security compliant players from skipping those items (like legal warnings & stuff).

The reason AnyDVD HD can't remove all those "annoying titles" is because most discs use JAVA. The titles and wich ones and how they are played is encoded in that java from what i can understand on the slysoft forums. Thats why more not then often it can't remove them. Its just because of the way BD's are structured.

Its just because of the way BD's are structured. When I add that feature, it will actually not be "removing" the clips -- but replacing them with short (< 1sec) clips. It would be next to impossible to have to follow JAVA and/or command structures to figure out what should and should not be changed. I could spend a year on that alone.

Hehe i fully understand that mate, thats pretty much what AnyDVD does with its remove trailers for DVD's. Replaces them using "Magic File Replacement". My post was in response to KeVe1983
