He wants to compress the movies to formats that are easily distributed through Indian forums. Like this one -> http://www.desimeet.com/search.php?searchid=17740

Yadif is quite fast. Or use QTGMC (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=156028) if you have the CPU...
EDIT: There's also a difference between interlaced and telecined, btw.

Can you walking Rule 6 violations from the Bollywood piracy scene please keep this crap on your own forums and not work overtime to get Doom9 slapped with a DMCA notice? It's pretty much a template at this point: some guy starts a thread and asked for "BEST RIPPING TIPS I WANT COMPRES 1080P TO 1/2CD SIZE SIR" and then invariably posts overly denoised and sharpened screenshots from an obviously pirated Indian movie. We don't facilitate that type of conduct here.

@Inspector.Gadget:
While you're correct about Rule 6, you are most probably unaware that the Indian (or more generally Middle and Far East) idea of colour TV is an oversaturated, brilliant, noise-free image, like those painted ceramic pots or the bathroom tiles. Resolution means nothing to them, as long as phosphorescent green, deep blue and bright yellow are present.
The only way of identifying whether an image is a DVD or divx&co is to look for compression-specific artefacts. :)
@all: when I said about the illegal use of doom9 by people that only want to increase their quota in sharing fora using the free skills of this community, I was told that I was paranoic, that no law forbids this, and the like.

Hi! but my friends on other end rip like pro...their rip glitters and shine ...so please help me to rip like them...bcos they tell me anythingAs the old saying goes, "With friends like that, who needs enemies?"
as my hard drive is lagging with more DVD-R moviesIf you feel you must have backups to your original, commercial DVDs, simply copy them to discs - especially easy since you say they are DVD5s (No compression necessary ;>} )

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying - Haven't you already purchased all of the DVDs that you've copied to your hard drive?

not this way, boy....read our rulez again and you'll be enlightened...
further: your english is quite nasty...we are NOT your "Bro'", little boy...not at all...doom9 is serious knowledge business, which is far to vulnerable to several laws...we have to keep eyes open all the time...
so please: give it up that way...reregister with another alias and try again.
Sorry, but nothing to win here for you..
its the day in which i 100% agree with watchdog "Ghitulescu"

reregister with another alias and try again.
Bad advice.
From forum rules (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm):
14) Multiple registrations are prohibited and are grounds for immediate account deletion.
