Need video resolution help

Does anyone know a good video resolution converter or scheme???

I convert both movies in 4:3 and 16:9 from PAL DVDs I'd also like to have the right resolution when I also must Crop.

I assume by 'resolution' you mean aspect ratio. I use the Resolution Tab of Gordian Knot for this sort of thing, although there are other ways, I'm sure. Make the D2V, open it in GKnot, set it for 4:3 or 16:9 (or 1:1 if making another DVD), crop it with the D2V video as a guide, and resize it, at the same time keeping the aspect error low.

use the program "aspect" - which calculates resolutions based on a given aspect ratio...:
