Which type of MP3 do u use? VBR, CBR or ABR?

As above. BTW how to use VBR MP3 with GK since its not possible to know the filesize before encoding?

Yes it is. Do the MP3 in lame before Gknot. Then in Gknot select the file then under audio options 'Just Mux'. Volia. I prefer --r3mix vbr mp3s myself.

I just make all my audio with ABR mp3, and like it a lot :)

i like the fact that gknot can use all the necessary software and all i have to do is just press encode and leave it all night. thats the convinence that i like. so use whatever you want.

I never use VBR mode, since it's unflexible.
ABR mode is annoying for me (takes more time for encoding and don't make any difference in my ears)
I take CBR in the most common bitrates (128 to 192kbps) and I'm very happy with it!

cbr has had its day as far as video is concerned and the same for audio if you ask me

I love GKnot but i dont use it for audio encoding. BeSweet or HeadAC3he are the tools to go for, then use nandub to mux your video done by Gknot and your Lame VBR MP3 audio ..... and of course in future use Vorbis audio instead and mux to Ogg or TMF instead of AVI ....

I use CBR for short movies and if its over 1hr 30min I use VBR.
