Hi,

I've moved to Windows 7 64 bits and now looking for 64 bits applications.

Applications of interest are audio/video codecs, office, antivirus and any other all day like browser etc.....

Audio apps.

P.S.: For Video-Editing and Frameserving you need a proper x64-only Decoding/Encoding Chain. Means: All involved programs/filters/plugs must be x64 compiled...

MS office 2010 is available in 64 bits but it somewhat buggy and really not necessary. 64 bit browsers also have missing stuff (flash plugin for example) and are not really worth the trouble.

If apps aren't memory intensive, the switch to 64 bit often isn't really worth it, for various reasons.

I've been running 64 bit operating systems since 2005, but rarely worry if apps are actually native x64 apps. Adobe products for processing my photography are the rare exception. Everything else is just icing on the cake!

x264 x64 is handy dandy, and vanilla Avisynth x64 is great also. Mixing in MT or special plugins can be problematic, so I try to keep it 32 bit unless I run out of RAM.

64bit apps MAY be faster than 32bit ones and some apps (like antivirus) wont work on your system if they dont match the architecture.
the example of faster 64bit apps is 7-zip. it's way faster than its 32bit brother and also takes advantage of the 64bit memory management.

Indeed. 7zip is a fantastic addition to your 64 bit kit.

As far as Antivirus goes, I can't recommend Avast enough. They have been 64 bit native for quite a long time, and their current free product is apparently even better than Microsoft Security Essentials at detecting viruses.
