Dear all,
i have a video of resolution 704*588 that i want to scale with virtualdub to 544*448 but the video is bad recorded, so i need to rotate 90° right to align with correct angle of vision, but in this case i obtain a video that is 448*544, and isn't good to view, so i want, with losing some details on sides, have a video of 544*448 with correct perspective, so i think that i must crop, but i don't want to fuck the aspect ratio (i try only to crop one side of the video, but the aspect ratio completely messed!), any suggestions of correct value of resizing and cropping ?

First rotate the video so that it's correct.
Then resize to 544x652.
Then crop to 544x448.

(insert null transform filter in VirtualDub to achieve the last part)

i made exactly as you suggest, but the video aspect ratio seems deformed, i retry tomorrow!
