Quadraphonic albums coded with DVDA. How to convert to playable file?

Have a bunch of DVDAs made from old Quadraphonic reel to reels. The VOB files are tiny and the AOBs are huge. I am assuming this is because it is a DVDA and not an SACD.

Is there anyway to extract the sound from the AOB file? The one SACD formatted album I have (Darkside of the Moon), sounds AWESOME. Everything else, I have only been able to get to the point of white noise.

I need a format that FFMPEG understands so I can upload to my TIVO using PyTIVO. Any help??

DVD-A Explorer, foobar2000's foo_mlp plugin, and one other utility which escapes my recall at the moment (odd name with an x in it) can do this extraction.
