I'm impressed. Most software that claims to use multiple cores fails to do just that. In testing the latest build, set to highest quality two-pass, I took "How to Train Your Dragon" Blu-Ray to BD-9. It used all 8 cores of an Intel Core i7 960 at around 90% and it took one hour and eleven minutes.

Now I can get what I paid for regarding the processor.

Thanks should go to Dark Shikari and the other developers on the X264 team. It is what is taking advantage of all the cores -- it truly is an outstanding piece of software.

It's completely incredible what you are saying, that's very fast. I guess BD-9 output is longer than BD-25 ??

It takes me like 20-30 hours if I set highest quality for a 2 hour movie on an 'old' AMD X2 3800+. So I use the automatic settings and it takes 8 hours!!! :D
