Any software for One click DVD rip and encode? For University Library,Free/Commercial

The non-print library at my university needs a good reliable software that will allow them to make their collection available online for students as required by professors.

I tried handbrake, but it doesn't rip and encode all the DVDs well. There are some that just show up as garbage across the whole screen on the final encode. I guess it is not able to decrypt the DVD well because if I rip the DVD with DVD Decryptor and then encode with Handbrake, it is fine. I tried the latest stable version and the latest nightlies.

Any other alternatives ? Price doesn't matter if it is commercial.

Handbrake can decrypt most (nearly all?) DVDs if you also install VLC so Handbrake can access the libdvdnav library.

I have it installed. It's not working with this latest DVD I tried called "Three Sovereigns for Sarah". Other DVD that didn't work was Bladerunner.

All I see is garbage on the screen of preview and final encode.

well it sound like you are going to need decryption as well as encoding

for 1 click - maybe something like dvdfab ? i think some of the newer versions rip & encode now

thank you. I tried DVDFab, it works like I want it too.

Few problems though, it only encodes to main profile x264 and I set the output fps to 29.97 but the actual output video fluctuates at like 20-22 fps making the video stuttery.

If non-compressed .MKV format is acceptable, simply use MakeMKV...

Perhaps you should try DVDFab Passkey or AnyDVD with Handbrake. They are both "on the fly" decryptors, which means that your DVD will be decrypted as soon as it is inserted. You will then be able to use HandBreak without installing VLC, or anything else.
