Hola ~

I'm not sure if this is the right spot, but here I go. Mods feel free to move. I'm getting an error when processing my Dark Knight Blu-ray disc through RipBot. Here's the error:

I've no idea what it means or how to fix it. Can anyone explain it? Thanks for any help.

You should post the content of the "demuxlog.txt" since the picture you posted doesn't contain a description of the error.

Move your post to the official RipBot264 thread. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=127611&page=437

Where would I find the demuxlog.txt? Thanks.

That's pretty good. It's all Greek to me, but here's my demux log:

eac3to v3.24
command line: "D:\Software\Editors\Blu\RipBot2\Tools\eac3to\eac3to.exe" "E:\Temp\Dark Knight.m2ts" 1: "D:\temp\RipBot264temp\job1\video.mkv" -seekToIFrames 2: "D:\temp\RipBot264temp\job1\audio_Undetermined.thd.w64" -down16 -progressnumbers -log="D:\temp\RipBot264temp\job1\demuxlog.txt"

M2TS, 1 video track, 1 audio track, 2:32:13, 24p /1.001
1: VC-1, 1080p24 /1.001 (16:9)
2: TrueHD/AC3, 5.1 channels, 48kHz
(embedded: AC3, 5.1 channels, 640kbps, 48kHz)

[v01] Muxing video to Matroska...
[a02] Creating file "D:\temp\RipBot264temp\job1\audio_Undetermined.thd.w64"...
[a02] The original audio track has a constant bit depth of 16 bits.
[a02] The processed audio track has a constant bit depth of 16 bits.
Added fps value (24 /1.001) to MKV header.
Video track 1 contains 218981 frames.
eac3to processing took 14 minutes, 15 seconds.
Done.

It doesn't really seem like there's an error, but I'm not really an expert. Thanks for any help.

There is no error in that log. You'll have to ask the developer. Try the thread prettyboy suggested.

@zazon
First question. Have you read my first post here (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=127611)?

Once you see above error go to D:\temp\RipBot264temp\job1\ folder and show me content of test.log

Thanks Atak. No, I hadn't read your post. I'm on XP. Looks like I should be installing WMP 11. I'm only on 10. I'll do that and re-install the codecs. In the meantime here's my test.log file if that does anything for you:

DirectShowSource: couldn't open file D:\temp\RipBot264temp\job1\video.mkv:
Cannot play back the video stream: no suitable decompressor could be found.
(D:\temp\RipBot264temp\job1\getinfo.avs, line 2)

Thanks again for the help.

It looks like installing WMP11 solved the demuxing problem. Now the audio is off. I've seen this before. It's like sometimes it works and others it doesn't. Anyone have a clue as to what's going on here?

On other question if I may. I don't understand how I should be setting the KBPS on the encoding settings. I think the higher it is, the bigger the files. The guide I found had it set at 6930, which is what I used, but I'm not sure that is optimal. Can anyone explain this? Thanks for any help.

I am getting an error when my .mkv file demuxes "m2AudioAC3Source: "G:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1\1_audio_English.ac3" without a valid AC-3 header in first 1MB
(G:\Temp\RipBot264temp\job1\getinfo.avs, line 4)"

The audio file in this .mkv is Eac3 How can I get this to demux and mux properly in ripbot? is there an update for this?
