I was instructed to post this in a new post.
I'm trying to convert a mp4 file to AVCHD so I can put it on a DVD and play it on my blu ray player.
It is x264 (mp4) with AAC audio. I tried AVCHDcoder but it faults during the audio conversion. I did a little research and it has been reported that AVCHDcoder has an issue with AAC to AC3 conversion.
I'm wondering if there is another GUI I can use to accomplish this or if it can be done manually by a novice. Is there a list of steps that AVCHDcoder goes through that I can mimic using the same programs and tools?
