[HELP] How to find the real order of various m2ts files and join them

Hi all,
I'm playing with BD rip and convert.

The problem I have is that in my BD (Robin Hood, EU version) I do NOT have all the movie in a single m2ts file, but I have more than 20 files only for the main movie.

So, couple of questions:

1. Is there any way to undersand which is the correct order of files?
2. Is there any way to join the files (please consider that the movie has some PIP functionality) in a single m2ts/ts with ONLY the movie?

Please consider that the purpose is playing and possibly having full control of the conversion process, so please I would like to avoid the "all-in-one" softwares.

You can use BDInfo to determine the order, but preferably which .mpls playlist you desire.: http://www.cinemasquid.com/blu-ray/tools/bdinfo
If you open that playlist with tsMuxeR: http://www.smlabs.net/tsmuxer_en.html
it can combine them all for you with the ability to keep or remove any audio and subtitles.

it front ends tsMuxeR, with the ability to remove audio gaps that can cause async from multi .m2ts movies, so this may be the preferred option! :cool:

About 1, BDEdit's playlist page will show the correct order for you.

About 2, What's the purpose ?

New tool BDFix FE also can give you many info. It supports multi-segments and PIP.

I'll try the eac3to method.

The purpose is to obtain a "standard" xvid + ac3 audio going through the well known chain.

I need a single m2ts to be able to use DGAVCindex.

Any suggestion for a different way to operate?

I would like to have a single audio, in sync with video to convert (if dts) or keep as is (if ac3)

Stick with Capsbackup's plan. I convert Blu-rays to single m2ts files with one audio track all the time (sometimes keeping a subtitle track if I'm motivated).
Use BDInfo to find out the PlayList that represents the movie
Drag the PlayList into tsMuxer
I then select 'Blu-ray disc' and remove all tracks except the feature video and the main audio I want (removing all foreign langauges, PIP tracks, etc) and remux to a playable Blu-ray. You can even extract just the core audio from DTS/TrueHD if you want.

My end goal is usually just to get the blu-ray as small as possible with re-encoding video/audio, so that's why I just mux to a Blu-ray image. But the end result is a single m2ts file. To date, I've never had a problem with audio gaps or sync doing this, so I'm not sure what the issue might be there (unless they are muxing just to an m2ts or something...). Never used eac3to as part of the process.

If you really care about audio quality and want to convert DTS, when you do this leave the DTS as HD MA (if it already is), then extract that to WAV files and re-encode to AC3. That way you aren't degrading your audio quality...
