Load fails in Avidemux

I'm new with Avidemux because I wanted to encode wmv -> mp4. (I've used VDUB a lot for XviD encoding.) I created an avs proxy in avs GUI (file type wmv) and tried encoding to MPEG-4 and Avidemux crashed and AVS GUI said "Attempt to open C:DOCUME~1/TEMP/942ec595.avsproxy failed". Not sure what this means.

I also made my own avs script: Directshowsource("C:\Misce1\filename.wmv") and it could not open file.

What am I doing wrong?

First of all, do you use latest Avidemux with latest AVS Proxy GUI? If not, update and try again!

Otherwise: If you uncheck "Automatically start Avidemux can connect to the Proxy", create the proxy, wait for the proxy to become ready and then connect Avidemux to the proxy manually, does it work?

I have latest AVS Proxy GUI (which I DL two days ago). I did what you said (manual connection) and configured video then tried to encode and AVIDemux said "Error opening avsproxy.exe". avsproxy.exe is in same folder as AVIDemux.
