Hey there!

I need help. I have been out of video editting for year or years now. I just need some kind of a guide towards a direction where i can get started again.

Firstly, I want to basically create trailers . The ones those big blockbusters do, Inception movie trailer. I want to learn that. And re-syncing audio and etc.

I am not sure where to start, what program and etc. I am willing to purchase the software *if it is good*.

I use Premiere at home. I am forced to use FCP at work. They both have their issues, so it's mostly a choice of which platform you prefer. Or.... learn avisynth/virtualdub and do it for free :)

Adobe Premiere/After Effects. After Effects is more of what you are looking for. Definitely worth every penny. :)

Right now I just gotta produce a video clip sort of like a trailer for a club at my university. I've got the pictures and got few cut scenes and audio. What program would be a great start? Adobe Premier..lol seems complicated to start off. Any other program + easy to grasp for such tasks at the moment?!

You might find sony vegas GUI a bit easier to use than premiere . Lots of video tutorials on the web for both vegas and premiere
