I've made some dvd movie with sucess.
But being a really fan of "The Rock" as giving me some head pains.
The dvd as two sides, 1st part of the film is in side A and the other part of the film in side B.
If I rip the two sides to the hdd and rename the vobs of the side B for example vts_01_xx.vob continuing the number of the files of side A, will this resolve my problem. I mean, witch ifo should I work with the ifoedit. With this method the subtitles (cause I from Portugal) won't be secrewed the same with the sound.
Conclusion is there a guide for making a dvd movie with 2 sides in 1 dvd.

In vobinstant what's the meaning of UDF 1.02/1.05/2.00 ... ?

Last question, is there a retailer in europe that distribuit dvdr's on a lower price to other countrys in europe.
Sorry for my english.

That's a good question. I'm not sure about that. If the time on the 2.nd side start's again at zero, then it wont work I think.
But it would work, if the second side uses a different VOB-ID.

I'll check that with one of my DVDs. I've got here Pretty Woman R2, also splittet to 2 sides.
Maybe I'll just need to do some little modifications to IfoEdit to get that to work.

I'll check it out this week, and let you know.

By the way...

I have made 6 movies and they all work in my sony (ns700v) they all have menus. I've recorded them with nero, recordnow and vobinstant.
But my problem is that in a phillips settop some of them don't work. I noticed that 2 memorex did't work so probably it may be from the dvd-r media from memorex. The ones that worked were 3 from vivastar. Other one from from verbatim also didn't work. The ones who worked were, Pearl Harbor (without menus) Frequency and Evolution. The mummy returns, Doctor T. and Along Came A Spider didn't. Probably the problems aren't in the movies but probably in the media.
Do you guys, couldn't give me a tip on witch software should I use often then nero, recordnow or vobinstan. If I record them with Prassi will this solve my problem (and of some ppl to).
I'm asking this becuase my intention is to trade $ome dvd's :) and I cannot affort to have complains like "This dvd is not working, that is not working". Eventually you will say that I should wait until a brilliant software (probably made by Derow) that can solve this problem or I should by some media that I know that will work for sure in any standalone.
What software are you guys using with best results ? I heard something about dvd calibration !!!

I user PrimoDVD and GearDVD.
Primo rarely fails me.
if so, the i use gear.
gear is good because it validates all you dvd files when you import.
