Just got a brand new boxset in the mail, and surprise! The first disc has what appears to be damage to the actual video layer.

I'm trying to rip from it and of course it has tons of unreadable sectors.

DVD Decrypter is unacceptably slow even set not to retry reading any sectors.
DVDFab doesn't work (can't even open the disc) but it has the rather nice setting of skipping X sectors on read error, defaulting to 32.

So, my request: An alternative to DVDFab and DVD Decrypter that is good with damaged discs.

Contact the retailer immediately and arreange to return the damaged product in exchange for a new replacement.
