View Full Version : AutoMKV audio encoding hangs

My favorite encoding GUI is AutoMKV. I've tried lots of other more up to date GUIs but AutoMKV is still the best for me, because it does everything totally automatically.

Unfortunately since i installed Windows 7 pro 32bit the audio encoding does not work anymore. I've tried aac, mp3 and ogg, but all of them "hang" when AutoMKV starts the encoding.
When i look in the Taskmamanger i see AutoMKV starts Virtualdubmod.exe but CPU utilization is 0%, so the problems seems be there. I've got no idea how to fix it though. Can anyone help me out?

I've also tried a direct stream copy of the ac3 track and that works just fine, but that is not what i want.

btw i've installed all requirements: AviSynth 2.5.7, XviD Koepi Build, FFdshow, Haali Media Spitter and nero aac.

I have not installed the CCCP because i'm not such a fan of codec packs. Besides i never installed CCCP in Windows XP and AutoMKV used to work perfectly.

@Slogra

try copying libsound dll in \windows\system32 folder

and.. try using a more update software like HDC...

Do you mean libsndfile-1.dll? It is already in my windows/system32 folder.

I'm giving HDConvertToX another shot right now. This time I've manually changed the ini file so i get my prefered settings each time i start it (is it normal that HDC does not save the ini itself?). This way i just have to choose the input and press the start button, like i did with AutoMKV.

Looks like i'll stick with HDC :).
