Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy Contradictory Episode Orders

I was wondering, why is it that the order of the episodes on the Ed Edd n Eddy Season 1 and 2 DVDs contradicts the TV broadcast order listed at Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ed,_Edd_n_Eddy_episodes) and IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0184111/episodes)? Does the episode order on the DVDs go by when each episode was actually completed in the studio?

Episode order for the The Complete First Season DVD Set:
1. "Pop Goes the Ed" and "Over Your Ed"
2. The Ed-Touchables" and "Nagged to Ed"
3. Sir Ed-A-Lot" and "A Pinch to Grow an Ed"
4. "Dawn of the Eds" and "Vert-Ed-Go"
5. "Read All About Ed" and "Quick Shot Ed"
6. "An Ed Too Many" and "Ed-n-Seek"
7. "Look into My Eds" and "Tag Yer Ed"
8. "Fool on the Ed" and "A Boy and His Ed"
9. It's Way-Ed" and "Laugh Ed Laugh"
10. "A Glass of Warm Ed" and "Flea Bitten Ed"
11. "Who, What, Where, Ed!" and "Keeping Up with the Eds"
12. "Eds-Aggerate" and "Oath to an Ed"
13. "Button Yer Ed" and "Avast Ye Eds"

Now if you check one of the TV order lists I posted it's clear that several episodes were shifted around on the DVD set.

I'd be interested to know if anyone knows anything about this matter. Plus it's annoying to name all the .d2v files since the episodes are not in the broadcast order.

So if anyone has some insight.

I've never seen that program but it's not uncommon for a network to broadcast episodes in one order, but the DVD release will have them in their "intended" order.

An example which comes to mind was the short lived sci-fi Firefly. Fox didn't think the pilot was "actiony" enough to grab an audience so played the second episode first, then the first episode, and then a few more out of order if I remember correctly. Consequently the show was cancelled pretty quickly because none of it made sense. I'm pretty sure if you look up Firefly on the sites you mentioned one of them will refer to the episodes in both broadcast and DVD "intended" order.
