when i playback my svcds on my dvd player everything is all good except when the camera does any horizontal panning. its almost as if there is a small click every second or so. like the camera hesitates for a moment before it continues panning. its not smooth but kind of chunky slow, while everything in the fore ground remains smooth and perfect. i use smart ripper,dvd2av1,and tmpg. anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to what my problem might be and how to fix it!!! pplease..
thanks:(

What type of file you are encoding? NSTC, NSTC-film, or PAL. I use to have that problem when encoding film type as NSTC...

im convertting dvd ntsc 29.970 to svcd ntsc film 23.976. sometimes i use "forced film" in dvd2avi to convert the framerate for me, other times i use "inverse teleclyne" in tmgenc. both ways work fine. but its when the camera is panning slowly horizontally its like the background clicks along in "sections" or "blocks" while everything in the foreground looks fine. i do not think it has anything to do with framerate conversion becuz 95% of the movie looks fine.
