crashed box, messed up process, where to resume from?

running dvd2svcd for the first time..
and i totally crashed my box.

why?
cuz i ran out of disc space, and winblowz pulled an error on me.
anyways,

i, like the idiot i am, tried to restart the whole process, thinking the IFO file is there, maybe the app would see completed files for it and skip thru to where it left off....

beginning of bbMPEG

it did'nt.

crash recovery (i found later) did'nt go back to it either.


what i need to know now is...
having completed the ripping, and some encoding, the large part anyways, to complete this process which files do i need to use from the "movies" folder.

in other words, can i still manage to fix this?
even if it ends up AVI or DivX, it's ok.. does'nt Have to be SVCD

If you turn off DVDRIPPing and then go to the conversion tab...you can select the ifo on the hardrive wherever you have the dvd folder....and start from that point which would be the beginning....now thats only if you have select "Don't Delete Any Files" In the "MISC" Tab.

You can do a crash recovery as long as you had "Don't Delete any Files" checked under the MISC. TAb

after you select the d2s file go ahead and start the project where it crashed so if it was doing video encoding select video encoding and it will start from there...

Btw..the dvd2svcd.d2s project file should be in the same directory as your movie...if you are wondering where its at..or do a search in windows for *.d2s if you are having trouble finding it...

so can you help me identify the files i have in the "movie" folder..

what i figure is i can then use each of the remaining processes manually on the "so-far-finished" file types.

in other words, the stuff is there, just has weird names.

If CR will not restart and complete the process you should start over again unless you are very, very experienced.

What you could do is take a look at the log file. You might be able to pull a command line from it and run it in a command box. If that doesn't make sense to you then start over for sure. (I mean no disrespect):)

To attempt to help you through doing the rest of the process manually is way past the purpose of this forum. The thread would end up being one of those "threads from hell".
