Spent literally all weekend trying to figure out a few kinks in my config to no avail...
My hardware:
ATI HD 5570, Win 7 + K-Lite 32-bit & 64-bit codec packs installed. Realtek HDMI Audio Driver & ReClock.
Firstly I can't understand how I can get HD bitreaming (DTS HD MA) to work in 32-bit (MPC HC) with Gabtest & ffdshow. However, audio cracks and pops with same config in WMC 7 (64-bit) with the default player. I have to set up MPC HC 32-bit as an external player in Media Browser. I have also disabled media foundation and gone through every option BTW.
Secondly, after playing a WMV HD file (with WMA Pro audio) in WMC 7, all of my windows sounds get messed up upon exit. My Pioneer receiver switches to WMA Pro and back to stereo upon exit, however, windows sounds are then garbled.
Another annoyance when using MPC HC (32-bit) in conjunction with Media Browser (WMC 7 64-bit) is that my media keys on my Logitech DiNovo Mini don't work. However, I get the Logitech OSD icons and the same buttons work when MPC HC is running on it's own (no Media Browser / WMC 7). I thought it was a focus issue, but MPC HC is on top and Media Browser / WMC 7 is minimized.
Any help would be appreciated as I'm losing the plot now!
Edit: Looking like An ATI driver issue, as everything is fine with my GTX 460 rig in the other room which is virtually the same spec other than the card.
