Hi there!

I just bought a Panasonic LV 55 portable DVD-Player Region Code 1 !
The handbook said that it couldn't playback any selburnt discs like CDR or DVD-r !!!
I want to build in a region free chip ! Does anybody know if it is possible with this chip to playback selfburnt discs?

Thx in advance .... sLOID!

The (in)ability of any given player is usually a function of the drive hardware, not of region-coding.
Check vcdhelp.com regarding the playback capabilities of your player and/or try CD-RW discs ... it sometimes helps.

hey smiler 667!

Thx for ya answere! I found the problem .... the disc's I burnt were Pal discs! In fact, that the player is a region 1 Player from the US, there is a chipset build in, that physicaly only plays ntsc!
(Reason for that is the build in display)
Players sold in Europe will be able to play both - ntsc and pal !!!

Who cares .... shot $499 to hell .....
