What player+decoder combinations support hardware acceleration of wmv9?
Will it work under wma9dmod.dll decoder from mplayer [wmv9dmo] vfm: dmo (Windows Media Video 9 DMO)?
How to see if its hardware or software playback?

little update, I have found this post in intel.com (http://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/showthread.php?t=59845), so it looks like vista 'windows media player' utilize dxva acceleration by intel gma drivers
now I am interested to know if it work in alternative players
