I refuse to believe that you haven't found any results by searching here (or Google) for such a simple task like increasing the audio volume.
Anyway, eac3to handles a lot of formats and can increase/decrease the audio level and also has a normalize function.

@killers
Hi!
1) What are the video and audio formats of your movie? If you don't know, load it into GSpot and post a screencapture back here.
2) How did you set the volume level (You should be able to use the same method to increase it) - or is it simply the same as your original source material (In which case, you would not have set the volume level)?

the video is .mp4 and audio .acc. i've converted with super to other formates and audio is still really quiet.
like i said i think i need to extract the audio ( yamb ) and use an audio editing tool and play about with things.
As for the audio i haven't done anything to it, it's the source

If you have NERO suite, you might have installed WAVE EDITOR inside its folder.
You load .AAC and menu VOLUME >> VOLUME CHANGE.
If you conver again to another format (except WAV) you'll lose quality.
