Do you consider about new version of DVD-RB, especially when HC Encoder is now in stable 024 version.
Thank you in advance.

You can simply replace the existing "HCBatch.exe" file in the "c:\Program Files\DVD-RB Pro\Encoders\HC Encoder" folder with "HCenc_024.exe" from the HC024.ZIP file. If you're using 64 bit windows, the folder name would have a "(x86)" after "Program Files". There also may be language differences. Make sure you rename HCenc_024.exe to HCBatch.exe.
I've tested it and it works.
I also plan to have another release of DVD-RB, but I'm very busy with BD-RB right now.

Heh jdobbs, how about renaming hcenc_024_sse4.exe to hcbatch.exe ? Wont we benefit if we have a CPU which supports these instructions?

How about HC encoder 0.25? Same things to do? Does it work?

Same thing, just rename the file.

I can verify HCEnc 0.25 works perfectly, I use it on Win7 Ultimate without any issues at all, but then I do have the very annoying Win7 protection module turned OFF
HCEnc 0.25 is a minor bigfix that apparently 0.24 has issues with finishing some encoding and going into a loop. I have seen this very rarely but though it was the DVD being awkward when encoding using DVD-RB ... again just rename it to HCbatch, and it will work fine
If you use Emisoft Anti-Malware (like I do), you MUST tell it that HCEnc is a 'safe' EXE otherwise it refuses to let HCEnc run at all, I can't get it to accept more than one instance of HCEnc running when doing multi-core encoding, but an average of around 140FPS running a singel instance of HCEnc on my Q6600 is pretty nippy enough and still leaves plenty of CPU to actually use my system for other thinsg as HCEnc is very good at taking 99% of CPU useage. Great for encoding but not so great if you actually need to use your computer while encoding DVDs
Can't justify £500 to upgrade everything to the Intel i7 930 just yet, though it 'should' double my encodes especially as I can't get my Q6600 past 3.4Ghz on air with a huge 3rd party cooler and big fan in the Antec 1200 case I have. Apparently the INtel i7 930 will happily run at 4Ghz on air
