I'm very new to Blu-ray and all its file structure. I have a BDMV folder. How do burn this folder using Nero or other tools? I like to avoid re-encoding all the .m2ts files if possible. My understanding is that if I re-encoding all the .m2ts files, I lose the original blur-ray menu and all its features and only get the video and audio only, correct? I may even lose the chapters too, correct?

Hi!I'm very new to Blu-ray and all its file structure.Since you're new to this, I'll ask you a few questions to make sure that you've got what you need to proceed:
1) In addition to the"BDMV" folder, did you also make a backup copy of the requisite "CERTIFICATE" folder?
2) What software and procedures did you use to make your backup copy of the "BDMV" folder (and its mutliple files and sub-folders)?
3) What is your operating system? If it's Windows XP, do you have a UDF 2.50 driver installed?
4) Do you have a BluRay burner, or only a Blu-ray ROM/reader and a DVD burner? (If you want to make full disc backups without any compression, you MUST have a Blu-ray burner. If you want to make compressed full disc backups, a DVD burner can also be used)

I see that you've made a post in the "Advanced Authoring" sub-forum today. Is there a reason that you haven't responded here, regarding this thread that you started on Sept. 10th?
Since you're seeking information and/or advice, it would be courteous of you to respond to those who are attempting to assist you (Including me ;>})
