View Full Version : What's the difference between Full Processing Mode and Fast Recompress (NanDub1.0rc2)

In terms of:

1. Speed (presumably FR is faster?)

2. Quality (does FR lose anything compard to FPM)

I understand FR can't be used if Min. Quality is set to a non-zero value. Is that correct? Are there any other conditions under which FR can't be used?

thanx

If you want to use filters in VDub, you have to FP. There is no difference in quality as long as the source and the destination codec can communicate without trouble. That is the case with Divx and the output of AviSynth, so it is not a problem. If you are going to use luma correction and want to use FR, you have to get the lumafix version of nandub rc2. and yes, if full anti-shit is on, FP has to be used.
