Post your script and a small sample, 10 seconds or so of the untouched source, one showing steady movement.

And welcome to the forum.

@subair37

To make a sample, open your VOB in DGIndex. Use the [ and ] buttons to set a range around an area that gives you problems. Then do File/Save project and demux video. You will get an M2V file. Upload it to mediafire.com and post the link here.

What happened to the sample? Why waste our time with questions if you have no intention in fulfilling the requests so we can help?

As for the Muxman problem, open the Celltimes.txt, subtract 25 from the last cell frame number, and try again. Either that or just delete that last number and VobBlanker will later replace it with a new one. Also, didn't you notice the red warning about not loading the subtitles correctly? Load the sub and hit 'Wide', advance the stream counter to 2, load the same sub again and hit 'LB'.

Hi

a one Million thanks , you are superb , I got it fixed the way you said to me , I subtracted 25 from the last frame number in cell times magic it worked.also i did not know about the subtitles problem that also sorted out, you are a genius mate, at the moment i am encoding using CCE SP2 software but i got CCE SP3 software as well , but dont know how to use it like SP2 , Can you help me to learn CCE SP3 what is is the advantage of using sp3 over sp2 will the picture quality be even better or no change or any other benefits. Please Can you shed some light on this ,I do Manual CCE of DVDR i mean DVD9 to DVD5.Please give me some tips about SP3.

Also i use 1+2passes on my current CCE SP2 is that enough or shall i have to go for 1+3 passess. Please advice

I don't use SP3. There's a whole thread on it in this forum. And what? No more combing/interlacing? With SP2 I use 1+4. Some use less, others use more.

As you mentioned i am doing the same project again on a 1+4 pass.Is more pass means will that improve picture quality also is there any filters available which i can use in Megui to improve the picture qulity of the project .Please shed some light on these things as i am quiet new on these MCCE

Since you refuse to post a sample, then who knows what you have and how best to treat it? I'd bet dollars to donuts, though, that you have a field blended DVD and trying to perform an IVTC is a very poor way to try and fix it. Separate the fields or bob it and check for blends/ghosts/double images. Don't rely on MeGUI's analysis since, for Indian DVDs, it's often wrong.

Doing more passes helps even out the Q-Level curve, to make it more like the settings you made. It also allows you to get closer to the size you wanted. It won't make any noticeable difference in the quality. As for filters, again, a sample will be needed.

Go find your file at MediaFire and hit the 'Share' button to get the link. Copy and Paste that here, not a link to your files (which, for me, links to my own files at MediaFire, and which for others won't link to anything useful).

Yes, as soon as we can see the source file.

Post ... a small sample, 10 seconds or so of the untouched source, one showing steady movement.

I ask for 10 seconds and you give us over 2 minutes? 10 well chosen seconds would have been plenty to see that it is just as neuron2 said and what I speculated it was earlier, field-blended from a poor standards conversion. This is all Moserbaer puts out.

Yadif(Mode=1)#or your favorite bobber

Hi also is this the script i have to use in my avs script for my problem

NTSC, two pass (enables use of conCycleTP parameter) mkv vfr for hybrid source.
First pass:
mpeg2source("c:\oursource.d2v")
tfm(d2v="c:\oursource.d2v",output="matches.txt")
tdecimate(mode=4,output="metrics.txt")
Second pass (not anime or cartoon):
mpeg2source("c:\oursource.d2v")
tfm(d2v="c:\oursource.d2v",input="matches.txt")
tdecimate(mode=5,hybrid=2,vfrDec=0,input="metrics.txt",tfmIn="matches.txt",mkvOut="mkv-timecodesfile.txt")
Second pass (anime or cartoon):
mpeg2source("c:\oursource.d2v")
tfm(d2v="c:\oursource.d2v",input="matches.txt")
tdecimate(mode=5,hybrid=2,vfrDec=1,input="metrics.txt",tfmIn="matches.txt",mkvOut="mkv-timecodesfile.txt")

replace the word oursource to my filename.d2v also what about the filters , Please please please

i am eager to learn this please teach me.......

It's not a hybrid source. It's not VFR. You don't want to use TIVTC as it was never telecined and thus can't be Inverse Telecined (IVTC).

The easiest way to do it is with Yadif and RePAL, although SRestore sometimes gives better quality output and there are other better (but much slower) bobbers than Yadif. Get both filters from that link, read the included docs about how to set them up in your script. Load the script into VDub(Mod), at least for testing purposes if you don't intend to use it for encoding, and report any error messages you can't figure out.

Hi

Thanks i have successfully downloaded those 2 filters yadiff and repal unzip them , shall i have to put these two folders or contents of its folders in to Avisynth plugins folder ?

Also interms of scripting is there any additional lines i have to add in my avs script when using these filters .Also how do i make out which filter to choose ?

My source is always Moserbaer which when i analyse in Megui i get the source type as Hybrid and interlaced mostly interlaced field order bottom field first .

But when i use Central DVDs their source type is film type .

So how do i make out which one to use and when. Please teach me.........

[moving to Avisynth Usage, as it is only vaguely related to MPEG2 encoding now]

A typical script might go:

LoadPlugin("C:\Path\To\DGDecode.dll")
LoadCPlugin("C:\Path\To\Yadif.dll")
LoadPlugin("C:\Path\To\RePAL.dll")
MPEG2Source("C:\Path\To\Movie.d2v")

Yadif(Mode=1)
RePAL()

That's the easier one to set up. SRestore is more difficult. That script is for the sample you provided earlier.

That's your first post. What does MeGUI have to do with anything? Aren't you making a DVD? Just adapt the script I gave you (fill in the paths for your version of the script), open it in VDub(Mod) to test that it works, and then feed it into CCE,

You don't need the ColorMatrix filter. You don't need the AddAudio line. You don't need the AddBorders line. You don't need the LanczosResize line. Don't use TFM/TDecimate. You can convert to YUY2, but by the time you do that it's no longer interlaced, but progressive, so leave out the interlaced part. There's not much in your script that makes any sense.

I don't use MeGUI. Perhaps someone else can help. The usual procedure is to put the DLL in the AviSynth Plugins folder and either use a LoadPlugin line in the script or allow it to load automatically. I always use LoadPlugin myself.

Read the doc for Tweak. One thing's for sure, though, that you don't want Sat=10. Tweak settings are adjusted for each film. Some don't need it at all.

That error usually means an attempt to load the plugin twice: by auto-loading from a special folder + by script command. Try to remove it from plugins folder(s) and only do it in script.

If you're making a DVD, what do you need MeGUI for anyway? Make a script, test it in VDub(Mod), and load it directly into CCE, All you're doing is bobbing it and to unblend it you need to bob it followed by either RePAL or SRestore. And, again, you don't need the ColorMatrix filter for this. I'm assuming the movie is still the same one for which you provided the sample earlier.

Yadif in the default Mode=0 is a single rate deinterlacer. You get back the same original framerate (29.97fps). Yadif used as a bobber (Mode=1) gives you back twice the original framerate (59.94fps)

I use Megui mainly for making a d2v file from the mainmovie of the Videots folder then load the d2v file play with the settings like yadiff adjust the script make an .avs file load it in to CCE.
That is why i use Megui for my first process.

yadif is only here for making double framerate before RePAL (which decimates 59.94 to 24.975 in the end). If you already have RePAL in auto-load folder you won't get error 'can't load plugin' if you write RePAL() command.

I tried get in to autoload folder but cannote get there, please explain to me how to get Repal in autoload folder i tried but failed.please help i know it should be in Megui tools folder i paste the folder over there but cannote get it under drop down

I find out something now if i use yadiff mode=1 then the frame rate is doubled 54.97 where as if i use yadiffwith bob mode=0 then i get the right frame rate 29.97.

Apart from Megui (I don't know if/how it loads plugins) that folder is here:
c:\Program Files\AviSynth 2.5\plugins\

I'd first try to add the RePAL() line after yadif(). If you get an error 'There's no function named RePAL()', that would mean it is not auto-loaded (then simply put the .dll into plugins folder). If you don't get that error, then it already works.

This time it worked i drop repal.dll in to avisynth plugin folder put RePal() after Yadiff(Mode=1).

I got the frame rate as 24.9750249 In CCE settings i select frame rate 24.Is this right or shall i have to select 25 ?

Select 25fps in CCE. Then when done, apply DGPulldown with the custom setting 24.975->29.97.

You have DGIndex. Make your own D2V project file. Make a few 'template' scripts to make the job easier in the future. You'll only have to adjust the names and filtering.

No one will advise anything without a sample. Make it smaller this time - much smaller. Just be sure there's steady movement.
