Is there a GPU hardware accelerated decoder for MPEG-2 video, ala CoreAVC, available?

Or does the MPC-HC expose their filters for other apps to use via DirectShow?

I"m not aware of any. MPEG-2 decoding requires less processing power than MPEG-4, so why worry about DXVA for MPEG-2 ?

Atom CPU and ION GPU... also, MPEG-2 can handle up to 1080P@30fps, or 720P@60fps (MP@HL)... I think MPC-HC has DS codecs that use DxVA and mpeg-2

OK, it seems both PowerDVD and ArcSoft support DXVA for MPEG-2 ---
--- but I haven't tested it.

MPC-HC certainly does support DXVA for MPEG-2, and it works flawlessly on my GTX460, so I'm almost totally sure it will work fine on any VP2+ nVidia hardware. AMD/ATI too probably, but I haven't tried that in awhile... :)
