Two question about a dvd backup

Hello, I am trying to make a xvid from DVD designed like that :

Aspect Ratio: 16:9
Frame rate: 29.970
Video Type: NTSC
Frame Type: Progressive

Watching it in DGindex I don't see any artifacts, so It's isn't interlaced (logical indeed)

My question first question is Should / must I Force FILM ?

I tried with honour pulldown flag (resulting in a 29.97 fps avi file) an then encoded with megui but my rip is too small by 150 mo... (orginally wanted a 1400 mo rip with original aac3 audio)

Second question is : how can I get the right size ? I use the unrestricted profile in megui so I don't understand this undersize.

Are you gonna split the 1400 MB into two pieces and burn it to CD?

Yep That's what I plan to do at the end (yeah I still use cdr) and I want to optimize this waste of space... and I tried a 700 mo rip but the quality is too poor...
