Okay, I have a video 640x360... Recorded using Wirecast 3 Pro. I would like to resize this video to 1280x720. Is there a way to resize the video without having to re-encode it? I tried using MKV Toolnix to force the resolution and put it in an mkv wrapper, but the video remained the same size.

I want to resize the video because youtube reserves higher quality encoding for higher resolution. I would re-encode in x264 using VDM, but it can't read the file from wirecast. Is there an easy way to do what I am trying to do, without losing quality?

No, you can't do this in a way that most (if any) software will respect.

Hi! Recorded using Wirecast 3 Pro

Please load the file into GSpot and post a screen capture back here...

Maybe future codecs will have such a function, the current ones however do not. And it's logic to be this way ....

Besides, I wonder why people ask for high quality, no quality loss & co, for videos that will be uploaded to youtube. Firstly, because youtube isn't a video exchange portal, just a presentation one (in other words they don't care about quality, but about space), and secondly that youtube would inherently reencode the video (even if you manage to make youtube not to reencode, then you have to use yourself agressive encoding parameters) ...

You want to put high quality videos on the net, that's simple, create yourself a page - the quality always costs something.

Okay then... is there an easy to use encoder program like Super(C) that also lets me offset the audio? I can use that fine, but my audio is out of sync by about 1 second. Is there a similar program where I can tell it to offset the audio?

Try something better, like vdub

@Jaxel

Again, please load the file into GSpot and post a screen capture back here - so that members can see the specifics (video and codecs used, resolution, etc....

I'm pretty sure VDUB cant open QuickTime AVC.

You can try avidemux and it's audio shift function . Leave the video & audio set to "copy" . You can't keep mov container, it will re-wrap into mp4
