Hey, so I've had this problem before and I realize that this is something I could have probably found the answer too somewhere in the forum. It's just that I can't figure out what to search for. I have the Defiance blu-ray decrypted onto my hard drive, but the English audio track is missing. Not even WMP finds it. I have swapped though audio tracks with Mplayer and gotten french, spanish, and english with commentary but no english track. The usuall -pid 4352 doesn't work this time (I have run into many discs where for some reason english just isn't the default). I suspect that this is because it is in a digital format I don't know how to find (with The Day After Tomorrow I gave up after realizing that it was in TrueHD and that it would be a royal pain to encode it). If so, how can I play/mencode the english audio for Defiance?

Yes, a program I had not heard of called mediainfo confirms what I thought at first. My question now is, how can I encode this audio in mencoder or any other program into a format like mp3?

You don't need encode this track, only extract the AC3 (Core) 640 Kb/s with eac3to.

You don't even need to use the AC3 track. Media Player Classic - Home Cinema and ffdshow both include open-source audio decoders for TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus.
