View Full Version : Locating older PSP profiles?

Hi there,

I've been having a LOT of difficulties encoding videos for the PSP with recent versions of MeGUI. (none of the videos play using the default profile)

The last time that I was able to encode a video that worked was when there were multiple profiles for the device. (Good, Better, etc..)

Sometime recently when MeGUI was updated all of those great profiles were removed - now there's only one entry for the PSP. Out of the box (new install) this profile doesn't work and unfortunately I don't have backups of the profiles that did. (I'm using a fresh install now so there aren't any backups to look for in the MeGUI install folder)

Does anyone have a link to an archive of the older profiles? I'd like to know what the old settings were that I used AND I'd like to compare it with the default PSP profile that ships now to find out what has changed.

I know the PSP isn't the most popular device but I'd like to help get this working again for few people that want to encode for it.

Are you using the development build of MeGUI (0.3.5.7)? The presets v53 released yesterday should be working again with the PSP. --b-pyramid none was missing in the preset.

Please verify if this is true - I do not have a PSP myself.

I was using the stable build. I changed the update servers and development version 0.3.5.8 seems to work again. (The videos at least play on the device which is more than it did before) It would be great if the changes can be pushed to the stable release as soon as possible.

If anyone else can help me locate the older versions of the PSP presets I would really appreciate it. I don't remember the exact names but I believe it was something like (PSP - High Quality, PSP - Very High Quality, etc..)

If you really want them back:

But they may not work and may have other problems.
